Topic: Typography
There are a total of 7 steps in photography. Typography is a type of image that is made out of words and can be made in "Adobe Photoshop"
For this work, I used an image of Alan Walker:
Steps:
Get an image off the net! |
Use the type tool "T" to make a box and type in words. In this case,
I'm using Alan's multiple different song lyrics. |
This is an optional one: You can use the words to make it into an envelope.
This allows the words to bend or curve or warp: |
Like so ^^^ |
Rinse and repeat. Follow the lines or outlines of the hood/image. |
Another option/alternate version is to combine a word and shape together. |
Select the shape and words, turn it to an envelope and make with top object. |
This will combine both the words and shape into one |
Like the previous one, you can arrange and reshape or distort them. |
Continue to rinse and repeat until the whole image is filled. |
Once you're finished, select all the words and "Expand" them once more. |
Next, "Compound Path" the words after expanding. |
After that, select both the background image and words, and add "Clipping Mask" |
This should be the result after compound path and expanding. |
Add in a background if you wish. I selected black to make it look cool :> |
And here is the finishing result of my Typography work |
There are many ways to reshape and distort words. You can use the "Envelope", combine "Shape and Words" and type "Words on Line" tool. Explore and discover, never limit yourself. Even if it takes a while, we all learn from somewhere!
